Where we serve
Jacksonville and the Onslow County communities around it, including Holly Ridge, Piney Green, Sneads Ferry, Richlands, and Swansboro.
Towns we cover
Each town has its own sewer setup, and homes outside those lines rely on septic. Pick your town for local details.
The area at a glance
Jacksonville runs its own city sewer, ONWASA serves parts of the county, and towns like Richlands and Swansboro have sewer plants that mainly serve homes inside town limits. Outside those lines, across unincorporated Onslow County, many homes depend on their own septic tanks and drain fields.
Septic permits come from Onslow County Environmental Health in Jacksonville. See ourpermits page for contacts.
The New River and the White Oak River shape the whole area. Coastal plain soils drain slowly, the water table is high, and Hurricane Florence flooded low ground in 2018. All of that makes regular pumping and a healthy drain field matter here.
